There are some places you don’t simply visit.
You step into them.
You notice the air change a little. You feel your shoulders soften. You slow down without quite meaning to. The ordinary world becomes quieter, and something gentler begins to take its place.
For us, Wickwood Cottage has always been more than a shop.
It began with scent. With hand-poured wax melts, comforting fragrances, little rituals at the end of a long day, and the simple joy of making a home feel warm, calm and loved.
Then came the artwork.
Little cottages. Moonlit paths. Lanterns glowing in windows. Mushrooms leaning in as if they knew a secret. Characters began to appear, and before long, the world of Wickwood Cottage had started to grow beyond the shelves, the wax pots and the sketchbook pages.
That world now has a name.
Welcome to the Realm of Wickwood.
The Realm of Wickwood is a story-led world inspired by nature, scent, slow living, creativity and a little touch of magick. It is the place behind our wax melts, our artwork, our Mini Pocket Prints, and the characters who quietly wander through our stories.
It is where a fragrance becomes more than a fragrance.
A fruity wax melt might become a memory of childhood summers.
A deeper, earthy scent might belong to a quiet cove lit by lanterns.
A sweet little heart-shaped melt might have travelled from a hidden hollow where tiny folk gather for celebrations, kindness and cake.
In the Realm of Wickwood, every scent has somewhere it belongs.
Some come from Censaro Cove, where the air is salty, still and full of reset. Some come from Honeyburrow Hollow, where sweetness, nostalgia and joy are tucked into tiny heart-shaped melts. Others may one day arrive from Orchardmere, Silvermist Lake, Whispering Woods, or one of the many little places still waiting to be discovered.
This blog will now become part journal, part storybook, part guide to the world we are creating.
You will find behind-the-scenes notes from the shop, introductions to our scents, glimpses of the characters, and little chapters from the Realm itself. Some posts will be practical. Some will be whimsical. Some may simply invite you to pause for a few moments and step somewhere softer.
Because that is really what Wickwood Cottage is about.
